Exercise is like the
fountain of youth.
I became a role model
for my family.

Lilian

Lilian Howick, 72, is a volunteer group fitness instructor at the YMCA and a role model for her family. Her two daughters and four grandsons are also Y members.

Introducing people of all ages, abilities and walks of life to the joys of being active from an early age and throughout their lives, on their own or as a family, is extremely important to us.

Being active means more than just adopting a healthy lifestyle; it’s also about connecting with others and gaining self-confidence. This is particularly true when it comes to increasing the chances of academic achievement for youth and combating isolation of seniors.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be fit and healthy. This year, thanks to your generosity, we were able to offer $886,000 in financial assistance, which allowed more people to participate in the YMCA’s fitness programs.

By giving to the Y, you are helping us offer as many people as possible a chance to be their best.
